New from Sony: KDL-52XBR10 and KDL-46XBR10 LCD HDTV September 11, 2009 at 2:42 pm
Just recently, Sony has provided us with yet another impressive LCD HDTV models. These BRAVIA LCD HDTV pair is equipped with LED back lighting, dynamic contrast ration of more than 1,000,000:1.
Here are the other impressive features of these XBR10 Series models:
- Offers high-definition signals of wireless transmission at 1080p which is provided through a separate media box that is received by an embedded receiver neatly placed in the TV set. This setup lessens the use of cables thus lessens clutter.
- Also features Motionflow 240Hz algorithm. This multiplies the frame rate by 4 as compared to traditional LCD TVs.
- Exceeds Energy Star 3.0 guideline. The Light Sensor by Sony helps adjust the back light of the TV set according to the light in the room. This also lessens the carbon foot print.
- Excellent picture quality is achieved through the BRAVIA Engine 3 and 24p True Cinema.
- Features an Ethernet port that connects the TV set to the Sony BRAVIA Internet Video. This powered by a broadband network that offers one of the huge selections of premium and free movies. Other contents can be acquired from Amazon VoD, Slacker Internet Radio, YouTube and Netflix.
- BRAVIA Internet Widgets as an add-on screen application that offers reports on stocks, weather, financial and even Twitter updates and more.
- Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compliant which means that you can readily view photos, videos and listen to music all in one device. This is achieved by using the distinctive XMB and just the TV's remote. A USB port is also available.
The price for the KDL-52XBR10 52 inches is at $5000 and the KDL-46XBR10 46 inches is priced at $4500. Both models will be out in the market this October of 2009.
It is no surprise that one of the biggest competitors in the LCD HDTV market is Sony. Sony has been constantly producing high-quality products though the common complain coming from the consumers is its relatively expensive price tags. Though, there are still an ample amount of consumers that will go for expensive Sony products since they know that they can get great quality from it.
